Request for using disciplines

Request for using disciplines is foreseen on the CIAMB’s regulations.

According to the Program’s Regulations:

Art. 36 The regular student from the Graduation Program in Environmental Sciences will be able to request the use of disciplines completed in other programs and courses, in Brazil and abroad, including those completed prior to their ingress.

§ 1º – Usage is considered, for the ends foreseen in this Regulation, the acceptance of new credits relative to disciplines completed by the student, in which they were approved.
§ 2º – The request must be forwarded to the CPG, accompanied by the academic history, syllabuses, and programs of the completed disciplines.

§ 3º – The usage of credits attributed to complementary activities is forbidden.

§ 4º – The disciplines used will be registered in the academic history with the indication of usage of discipline “AD” and the number of corresponding credits.

§ 5º – Items that must be registered in the academic history of the student: the name of the Program(s) and of the HLI in which they completed the discipline(s) that are the object of usage and the date of register by the CPG.

§ 6º – The maximum period between the conclusion of the discipline and the request of usage cannot surpass five (05) years.

§ 7º – The maximum number of credits to be obtained with discipline use completed in other Graduation Programs shall be 25%.

§ 8º - The use of disciplines completed in Undergraduation during the realization of the Master’s and Doctorate may occur, following the norms in Specific Resolution which talks about integration between levels of education at the UFG.

The application must include a justification of the request, data of the discipline (WL, credits, semester/year of completion), the name of the Graduation Program and the HLI where it was completed. It must be signed both by the teacher and the advisor, and must be accompanied by the syllabus and declaration that the student completed the required discipline (or history that can prove it).

The request must be delivered at the CIAMB secretary, to be forwarded to the Program’s Coordination for Graduation.
